Sometimes in life we need a boost whether it be physically or emotionally we can all benefit from a little help along the path of success. When you choose to be successful you will need to have determination, a strong mind and a great support system. The kind of support that helps you move forward when you have a set back. My grandma often tells me that “a set back is nothing but a set up for a comeback”. I live by those words because when you think about it…..it’s true. We all have set backs minor or major that can hinder our motivation on this journey. Receiving that great advice, hug or someone to listen to you vent gives us that boost we need to comeback from that set back. Always remember nothing in life that is easy is worth working hard for, if your goal was easy then everyone could do it. It’s hard because it was made for you, just believe in yourself and trust the process 🙂
Let me talk to you about self love. The best relationship we have is the one with ourselves, it’s hard to be nice to others if you’re constantly mean to yourself. When you love yourself you’re more likely to show love to others. Loving yourself can change your life in so many ways….it will help you get that confidence you needed to wear that outfit, talk to that stranger or even get that dream job. Love is unconditional, so love yourself with no boundaries or conditions. You’re body is going to change, life is going to give you ups and downs but don’t steer away from your goals of self love. You’re unique and one of a kind, you just gotta believe it 🙂 #MotivationalMonday
Purple is my favorite color and always has been since I was a kid. I remember being fascinated with Prince’s purple rain! I loved seeing him in his purple velvet jacket….it made me feel like it was okay for a male to not only like the color purple but also wear it. So when I saw these purple suede wingtips in 2014 I was in love! I purchased them with no regret although I don’t wear them often they are still one of my favorite pairs of shoes and grapes are one of my favorite fruits. Coincidence?! I think not 🙂
Long time no talk! If you follow me on Instagram then you would know that I have had a busy few weeks. I have just gotten back from New York Men’s Fashion Week, it was so much fun. I’m glad I got to go again this year. The shoes were absolutely amazing my favorites were Nick Graham, John Elliot and Nautica (I met Lil’ Yatchy) he was super cool. Seeing my northern blogger friends help me continue to get some good inspiration for content. I had an amazing time staying at the Park Central Hotel! Everyone there was so accommodating and nice, of course when I first landed I had to go by my favorite place….Shake Shack. It was so great and it’s even better cause I only get it twice a year 🙂 I appreciate you all supporting me through my fashion, style and body confident adventures.
More good news my book is officially available for pre-order on Amazon! Be sure to reserve your copy now! It’s going to be awesome…..I promise 🙂
