It’s the end of teacher appreciation week and I’m feeling great! This week was a bit hectic due to SCPASS testing. As we start to wind down on the school year, I have been reflecting back on my first year as an educator. I have had many trials and tribulations in the classroom, things you wouldn’t believe even if you saw it yourself. I have remained strong and kept my tunnel vision. My job as a public educator is to provide my students with the best education they can receive and everyday I plan to do just that. These students deserve the best and I will give them my best everyday I’m present for work. Having a week that appreciates educators is rewarding in so many different ways because a lot of times our profession gets looked over.
We need more people willing to be in the classroom to mentor, teach and show these kids love. With all this hate in the world sometimes the only love they see is at school. So thank you to all the teachers everywhere around the world for their passion to educate!
