Smile more, especially when out and about. Nothing is more heartwarming than seeing a genuine smile on someone’s face. Also, try to make others smile by being nice and courteous. Positivity radiates through people and inspires us all to be better. Making someone smile can bring joy to your heart and make you smile as well. Many say I have a smile that could brighten up the darkest valleys, and a compliment like that makes me smile even more! #SimleTodayForABetterTomorrow 🙂
Failure is inevitable, own and embrace it. We are all going to fail and feel as if we can’t accomplish our goal because of it. Little do people know failure is great. Without failure, you wouldn’t have traits like motivation or perseverance. Failure is a necessity when trying to succeed. Embracing failure will help you persevere and stay motivated. You may not get that “dream job” or what you want the first, second, or third time, but you may get it the sixth time. Everything has a time, remember just because it’s not right now doesn’t mean it’s never.
Believing in yourself can be hard when you have negative vibes around you. That’s why it’s so important to surround yourself with positive people, people that impact your life positively can help you believe in yourself. Nothing in this life we do can be done alone, we all need help along the way. One of the biggest factors of self love is being around people that show you love. It’s hard to love anyone when you don’t love yourself.
Positivity is so vital, that’s why body positivity means so much to me. It allows us all the opportunity to love ourselves no matter how much the media or society tells us not to. A wise person once said if we all loved ourselves as we are then the beauty and cosmetics industry would be out of business! That’s a true statement, so I say to you be who you are and love who you are not. We are all special…..you just have to believe it 🙂
Style has always been my cure ever since my middle school days. It gave me the opportunity visually express myself without even speaking. It has helped me build relationships, friendships and now a career. My style is my armor and savior, it has protected me from the way black men are often perceived in society but it has also saved me from my own body insecurities. I knew no matter how much hair I loss, how funny I walked or how many stretch marks I had…..I would always be the best dressed man in the room! #FACTS
