Purple is my favorite color and always has been since I was a kid. I remember being fascinated with Prince’s purple rain! I loved seeing him in his purple velvet jacket….it made me feel like it was okay for a male to not only like the color purple but also wear it. So when I saw these purple suede wingtips in 2014 I was in love! I purchased them with no regret although I don’t wear them often they are still one of my favorite pairs of shoes and grapes are one of my favorite fruits. Coincidence?! I think not 🙂
Long time no talk! If you follow me on Instagram then you would know that I have had a busy few weeks. I have just gotten back from New York Men’s Fashion Week, it was so much fun. I’m glad I got to go again this year. The shoes were absolutely amazing my favorites were Nick Graham, John Elliot and Nautica (I met Lil’ Yatchy) he was super cool. Seeing my northern blogger friends help me continue to get some good inspiration for content. I had an amazing time staying at the Park Central Hotel! Everyone there was so accommodating and nice, of course when I first landed I had to go by my favorite place….Shake Shack. It was so great and it’s even better cause I only get it twice a year 🙂 I appreciate you all supporting me through my fashion, style and body confident adventures.
More good news my book is officially available for pre-order on Amazon! Be sure to reserve your copy now! It’s going to be awesome…..I promise 🙂
Magazines and the media always tell us to wear vertical stripes because they make you look thinner. I personally don’t give a damn about looking thinner I care about looking and feeling confident. I love this sweater because it has HORIZONTAL stripes and bright colors to add to the attention. I mean this sweater represents everything us “big fellas” shouldn’t wear right?! According to all those unrealistic style tips from people that don’t get how people actually work because they are out of touch with reality. Ignore the haters and wear what makes you feel great!! And I feel great in this stripes 🙂 #StripeLove #GapLove
Somedays you just gotta put one a smile! And I’m not talking about some cheesy fake one either. We often get consumed with work and life that we forget to take a second, look around us and just smile for what we have. It’s easy to get lost in the struggle and hustle…..trust me I know. Honestly, I often get wrapped up in it myself but for some reason during this shoot at the University of South Carolina’s iconic horseshoe I felt life. It hugged me and reminded me of all the amazing things I am blessed with; health, family, an amazing wife and an awesome fashion blog. I couldn’t help but smile at watching my daughters chase each other around the horseshoe (behind the scenes) while shooting this look. I encourage all of you to take a moment out of your busy week to just appreciate what we have 🙂 Don’t forget to smile!
P.S. Happy Birthday to my oldest daughter Temperance! She turns 6 today 🙂
